05/06/08 well Its been a productive week.

well por-15 is uv sensitive and will fade if not top coated so above is some of her after 2 coats of 2k epoxy primer onley metal patch that I needed to make was under the batt pan due to many years of batts leaking.

There was a 1"x3" hole I welded a 18 gauge patch with the mig then skimed it with tiger hair .

I replace all the seem sealer and por-15 the cowl after cleaning 35yrs of leaves out of it found minor pin holes wich I filled with tiger hair due to the location of said holes would require removeal of the dash to get to it with a welder besides they were very minor.

glazing putty to smooth it it out then 2 more coats of 2k and a hole shit load of sanding.

above is the 1st coat 2 more to go I went with a 2 part uerathane paint for its gloss and toughness my paint supplie discouraged me from going with a base then clear due to the clear not holding up well in a engine bay.

well slow going but getting there.

Getting closer to a driver again just ordered a bunch of stuff.

-pinion snubber
-shocks rear
-air cleaner for the king demon 5" tall
-s/s fiber glass hood scoop 68 cuda stlye
-battery tray
-motor mount bushings
-trans mount bushings
-kick down cable kit
-fuel pump block off plate

looks like I'll be glassing a hood scoop in soon I will document the process and post it up.

getting closer can't wait to go for the first ride with the new motor and trans.
