I looked and they are very similar but a little different. It looks like the purge valve is directly connected to the front of the intake manifold in the 01 engine and its on a bar on the side on my 96. The car had intake manifold leak problems in the old engine and I don't want to use the old manifolds. Anybody think there is a way to get around this? The newer engine has an electric throddle body and old TB is not. Where it connects to the intake is a different shape in the new one so idk what to do. TB adapter maybe?
