I just looked it up. Looks like it just replaces the factory wiring harnesses to put more power to the existing motor?

For one thing, if the door mounting points for the window regulator have been messed up or cracked, the last thing you need is to put more power to dig into the fiberglass easier. Most people probably don't have that issue.

Out window motors die once every 2-4 years, there's no getting around it. The good thing is you can buy a replacement motor from Autozone and then you have a lifetime warranty on it and get free replacements from then on. The motor is like 50-60 bucks. Check out shbox.com for motor replacement instructions on how to do it yourself. It's really very simple, and once you do it the first time, the next time will be a hell of a lot easier.

Although check out my thread on ls1tech that I made: http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/showthrea ... highlight= I had some problems with the window regulator mounting. Trust me you don't want to have these problems.

The window motor sure is slow, but it works. I wouldn't consider it a problem. If it dies, just change it out yourself for cheap. Better than having the dealer fuck up your door for life like they did with mine.

Also if you buy a driver side motor and then your passenger side dies, just bring in your old driver side one and get a new one for free. They are the same exact motor on both sides. They can't tell which side you are replacing.

yeah i already Replaced my Drivers Side one, it was easy because the previous owner had done it before, they Drilled holes right where the screws are so it took me 20 minutes.

I may need to do the passengers side one and hopefully it will be just as easy.

im going to have to replace the drivers side door at one point in my owning the car because it has a crack near the Mirror.

Over the duration of how long? Do you change them yourself?
