i see makes sense..didnt 400 have a overheating problems im going way back in the way back machine, the 350 sounds better to warm over, so now what about the tranny and rear (on the car that is ) but then... anyway putting some 373 or something like that in it,swapping to a 700r4 tranny has a hell of a frist gear in it .. 5 or 6 speed

impressive thus far, those newly added monte carlo decals are tight ;) who made em? haha

but seriously, not bad and the thing sounds amazing, just fix that tranny and she'll be mint! cant wait to see the progress.

from what ive herd/read, 400's have over heating/ running hot issues due to poor cooling systems and it really depends on how you set it all up.. like running a 400 in a monte may or may not have a cooling issue, sure you might be able to run dual eletric fans but it might not be enough, i think what i read up on is how hot they run when swapped into an s10, but yes they tend to run warm

yes they do run hotter, it's becuz coolant dont run inbetween the cylinder walls becauz of the little amount of space between cylinders...Its nessisary to have steam holes in the block and heads to release steam. Im not gonna worry about this too much. I mean when I had my IROC that thing ran hot as a bitch and I never had no issues with it and that was just a 305. Im not running electric fans neither. This is just going in for a little fun until I do my 350 over. Trying it out @least I can say Ive had one. I dont plan on beating it just a daily driver with a little ummpphhh!!!!

If I dont drive like a dick I should have no issues!!!
