Untill you had it and tried to put the power down. I built mine and it still was bad for dragging.

I'd definitely consider shocks for the first thing on the Firebird.

What are you working on these days? I'm guessing it's some type of 3rd gen Firebird/TransAm

I'm adding my Custom Hyd. Roller cam, The WP heads, upgrading my 650DP carb to a 750hp series main body. I put my SLP loudmouth exhaust on too with my Hooker ceramic coated LT's

F-Bobby has seen that top end combo. It goes!

I don't plan on doing much. I am defintely just doing some yearly maintenance like fresh ATE brake fluid and Redline power steering fluid. My rear axle bumpstops are getting cracked so I'll replace them, and I'm going to swap all of my swaybar endlinks and bushings for fresh ones.

I may consider doing the Strano front swaybar since it will shave 20 lbs off my front end compared with my heavy ass Suspension Techniques bar. Also contemplating rod/poly lower control arms just to see how they effect my car's launching behaviour.

Oh yeah and this doesn't count but I'm going to put in a cheap headunit and run combo speakers off of it since my current stereo in my camaro doesn't work.

I know for thirdgens LCA's and relocation brackets help a lot with a launch esp. on a lowered car. I would imagine the same on yours since its the same suspension setup.

Relo brackets would be great for helping me launch, but there's a tradeoff. The lower set area I've heard can cause the suspension travel to point the rear end toe out during turns causing it to be harder to control in turns. It would make it easier for me to spin out, and I don't want that. I don't have huge wheelhop problems right now. I do have occasional wheel hop.

I also think I might have a slight amount of play in the drivetrain. When in high gear and low rpms, the rear end gets a little clunky when braking or adding gas. I'm not sure if that's an indication of worn gears or if I might have some worn bushings in the ctrl arms or what it is.

Not sure what it is but some adjustable LCA's would be great for you. My whole suspension is going adjustable so I can drag the car and auto x with it.

theres really no need to adjust the lca's on a 3rd gen.......unless you've done soemthing really really funky with the suspension.

thats basically one more thing you that can go wrong.

besides, if you have a torque arm (which may or may not be adjustable), adjusting the lca's is going to place a load on the torque arm, if its not in exactly the right position, as the torque arm fixes the pinion angle
